About KSSG President's Office Vice President Representatives
 
   
President
Serves as the primary liaison and advocate to the administration and faculty regarding student concerns and activities. Works with other officers and members of the KSSG to facilitate action on student concerns.
Executive Vice President
Chairs the meetings of the KSSG. Performs all administrative functions related to maintaining the daily operations of the KSSG.
Vice President Academic Affairs
Chairs the Academic Affairs Committee. Serves as the KSSG contact for all matters related to Kennedy School academics and curriculum. Serves on the KSG Academic Affairs Council.
Vice President Communications
Chairs the Communications Committee. Coordinates the internal and external communications strategy of the KSSG.?Records the minutes of KSSG meetings. Maintains a list of KSSG student groups and their presiding officer(s). Maintains an updated copy of the KSSG Charter and By-Laws.
Vice President Finance
Chairs the Finance Committee. Develops and monitors the KSSG budget. Develops alternate sources of funds. Works with students to help fund projects to meet student needs.
Vice President Internal Affairs
Serves as the Chairperson of the Internal Affairs Committee and the Elections Committee in the spring semester. Oversees all matters regarding appointments to school-wide committees, and changes to the Charter and By-Laws.
Vice President Student Activities
Chairs the Events Committee and serves as a member of the Finance Committee. Serves as the KSSG contact for all KSSG sponsored events.
Vice President Student Services
Chairs the Student Services Committee. Serves as the KSSG contact for all matters related to Kennedy School Student Services (including but not limited to computer services, career services, facilities, advising, and library services).
Vice President International Student Affairs
Serves as point of contact for international students, KSSG and the administration.?Chairs the International Students Subcommittee.?Addresses concerns relating to international students.
Graduation Marshals
Two graduating MC/MPA students, two graduating MPP students,  two graduating MPA student, two graduating MPA/ID shall be elected Marshals by their respective classes.
NB: Graduation Marshals are elected in the spring.
The Harvard Graduate Council
Four representative shall be elected to attend the Harvard Graduate Council (HGC) for one year from the time of their election. HGC representatives shall serve asRepresentatives on KSSG.
NB: HGC Representatives are elected in the fall.
Class Representatives
Class representatives from each KSG class (e.g. MPA, MPA/MC, MPA/ID, MPP, Ph.D.) are elected to one semester terms by vote of eligible KSG students.?Representatives attend and participate fully at all KSSG meetings.?They act as primary liaisons between their respective class constituencies and the KSSG Executive Committee (President and all Vice Presidents).?They make up the Interim Committee, which along with the Elections Committee is responsible for leadership cohesion from term to term.?The number of representatives per class is as follows

MPA1: 2
MPA2: 2
MPA/ID1: 2

MPA/MC: 6
Ph.D.: 1
NB: Class Representatives are elected for one semester terms in the fall and the spring.
